Geezel Montoya

Administrative Coordinator

Mrs. Geezel, as the Administrative Coordinator of Bloom, has been a fundamental component to Bloom's success since 2020 and is trained in Business Administration. She applies her 11 years of experience in Administrative, Sales and Customer Service to ensuring that the preschool operates efficiently and prosperously.

Geezel implements her proficiencies in organization and expediency to staff governance and responsive management to Blooms Family Community in an enthusiastic and positive manner. As well as her dedication to Bloom's overall operations, Geezel has a deep love for early childcare and education.

Mae Khatleene Mariano

Mae Khatleene Mariano

Caregiver

Miss Mae joined us in early 2022 from the Philippines. She fit perfectly into her role as a practitioner in the Toddler Classroom,  gaining immediate trust from the children and completing the teaching team of our 1-2 year olds.

Mae displays expertise insight into the needs of the child and seamlessly adjusts her teaching style to meet the age-appropriate interactions with children.

She tends to them earnestly and models a calming, sweet, child-centered, fun-loving disposition. Miss Mae obtained a certificate in Child Development, specializing from birth-to 3 years old, and despite also being a qualified midwife; she maintains that working with young children is the best job in the world.

She admires children for their energy, creativity, curiosity, and honesty, and also relishes opportunities to share in their happiness, witness their progress and contribute to their achievements.

Apple Cris Sonsona

Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Apple joined us in 2023 as an Assistant Teacher and was immediately enthralled by the wonder of working with young children. She has experience working in a Kindergarten class in the Philippines, and although most of her experience is in high-school teaching, she feels she has found her niche with Blooms toddler class.

She expresses that; “it is so fun and exciting being around young children because they are so authentic in their emotions and are fearless to explore, and to try new things. I just love seeing things from their eyes. It’s beautiful to see their eagerness to learn, and witnessing their growth is just so amazing.”

Mrs Apple is a qualified nurse, has a degree in Secondary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Management. She embodies a warm nature, dulcet tones, and responds intuitively to the little ones in her care.

Mrs. Pats originates from Jamaica but has resided in Grand Cayman for more than two decades and considers it home. She has more than 35 years experience working with young children of all ages but holds a special place for the privilege of caregiving for babies.

Mrs. Pat is a dedicated Assistant Practitioner in the infant class, and brings smiles, a sense of humor and songs as she meets the needs of each child. One of her most-loved aspects of working with the littlest ones at our school is the opportunity to nourish their creative capacities.

Mrs. Pat shares her delight in witnessing infants’ impressive abilities to express themselves so dynamically and creatively in their first year. Among the extensive practice and knowledge of high-quality care of infants, Mrs. Pat holds a Food Hygiene Certificate.

Ms. Cherryl

Ms. Cherryl

Assistant Teacher

Ms. Cherryl joined Bloom Learning Centre as Assistant Teacher March last year and was promptly fascinated by working with the children. She has twenty years of experience as Public Elementary School Teacher and was designated as school-in-charge of different schools in the Philippines. She wants to continue her passion of teaching here on the Island and is now thrilled to work with young learners.

She connotes that “Teaching young children is a lot of fun”. She really enjoys being with the young children because so many things are new and exciting to them, which makes it fun to introduce new lessons. She has a big sense of humor and doesn’t like to take herself too seriously, so teaching little children is perfect for her.

Ms. Cherryl discovered through experience — and the encouragement of others — that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Driven by a deep love for learning, she’s passionate about inspiring young minds to share that same curiosity and joy.  With a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Home Economics, and a Master’s in Educational Management, she brings both heart and expertise to the classroom. Teaching and caring for young children isn’t just her job — it’s her calling.

Diana Mahabeer Morgan

Preschool Teacher

As a preschool teacher, I feel fortunate every day to spend my time with a group of children who bring joy, curiosity, and endless energy into the classroom. Each child enters the room with their own personality, strengths, and developing skills, and together they form a unique community of learners.

My kids are at an exciting stage of growth where small moments—tying a shoe, sharing a toy, or singing a rhyme—represent big achievements. Some are outgoing and love to lead, while others are quieter observers who prefer to watch before joining in. What amazes me is how they learn from each other: one child’s excitement to build a tower inspires another to try stacking blocks higher, and a kind gesture during play teaches everyone about friendship.

Language is blossoming in so many ways. Some of my children are beginning to form clear sentences, asking questions about the world around them, while others are just starting to experiment with new words. No matter their level, every effort at communication is celebrated because it shows courage and growth. During circle time, I love hearing their voices join together in songs and stories, even when the words tumble out in unexpected ways.

The classroom is also a place where independence begins to shine. I watch proudly as my kids learn to wash their hands, pour their own water, and put on their coats with determination. These simple daily routines build confidence that extends far beyond the classroom.

Most importantly, my children are learning what it means to belong to a community. They are practicing kindness, patience, and empathy. I often see one child comfort another with a gentle pat or hear them remind each other to “take turns.” These are the seeds of lifelong values, planted in the early years of learning.

As their teacher, I not only guide their academic and developmental progress but also share in their laughter, discoveries, and small triumphs. My kids remind me daily why teaching is such a rewarding profession. Each of them brings something special to our classroom, and together they make it a place filled with warmth, curiosity, and endless potential."
